Competition tennis is a great accompaniment to tennis lessons, offering purpose and relevance, whilst fast tracking skill development and personal growth. It's something we encourage all of our students to get involved in, but understand that making the first big step can be quite challenging and intimidating for some. We're aiming to make this transition easier for our Hot shots students by better preparing them at an early stage via our GIANT Match Play program, designed to build skills and confidence.
Through GIANT Match Play, students will be exposed to match-play scenarios on modified courts with low compression balls. They will be introduced to the scoring system, learn tennis etiquette and develop appropriate skills, all in a fun and fluid environment, catered to their ability.
For our more advanced players, GIANT Match Play offers an excellent opportunity to refine tactical skills, sharpen mental focus, and gain valuable match-play experience. Engaging in these sessions allows players to experiment with strategies in a supportive environment, enhance their decision-making under pressure, and develop greater resilience. It’s also a fantastic way to stay competitive, elevate your performance, and build strong connections within our GIANT tennis community. You'd be crazy not to get involved!
