GIANT Tennis Squads offer talented students the opportunity to enhance their standard coaching program, with additional training sessions and a focus on competitive play. Different Squad levels ensure age-appropriate programs, whilst providing a pathway for continual player development.
Weekly training sessions are supported with the inclusion of fitness programs, strength and conditioning sessions, match analysis, individual goal setting and team relationship building. Regular events, trips and tournament play support the growth and development of students, both on and off the court.
A high level of commitment and dedication is expected, as we work together with the player and their family to assist them in reaching their fullest tennis playing potential.
Acceptance into squad programs is via a process of application and try-outs.
Green Ball Level, 7-12 yrs of age
1x 90min Squad Session/week
1x 60min Group Lesson/week
A program encouraging consistency and introducing tactics, to support players entering competitive tennis circles for the first time.
Yellow Ball Level, 12-18 yrs of age
Option 1: 1x 90min Session/Week
Option 2: 2 x 90min Sessions/Week
Option 3: 3 x 90min Sessions/Week
Plus 1x 60min Group or Private Lesson/Week
GIANT Squad aims to build player fitness, tactical awareness and strategic point play skills, as it ultimately prepares them for higher level competition and tournament play.
